Laws on electronic cigarettes are being enacted at the local level to control where e-cigarettes may be used and sold. These laws include local ordinances and regulations prohibiting or allowing e-cigarette use in certain locations, setting standards for where to whom e-cigarettes may be sold, and establishing enforcement procedures for the implementation of these laws. In some circumstances, e-cigarette control laws are incorporated into existing tobacco smoking regulatory schemes while others establish totally different e-cigarette controls.
